The expedition, adventure and freedom feeling, is terrific, the fact that your catch can pull your kayak and fight at the same time, is a once in life experience. I felt the adrenaline running around my entire body, into the highest point, after I made my first catch, I wanted to continue and repeat the action over and over again, highly recommended for extreme anglers!

Super exciting, is like a vice, I kept trying, I slide my kayak to reach the coral reef that was nearby, to start angling with the lure, then the fish bite and the fight started, this magnificient red snapper pulled my kayak for like 15 minutes, after that action, I did it, I caught a Red Snapper, what a great experience!

Just to let ya'll know that I went fishing with Ralph on a short trip to CR this weekend for a one day trip and we had a blast!  We ended up not going out of Kayaks and made a quick run and fished some jetties outside of Jaco.
He picked us up at our Hotel at 4am and drove us back after a long days fishing.  Next year my plan is to spend one day with him surfcasting, and another day fishing for dorado, big snook, roosters, and jackfish out of his kayaks.  We ended up going out of Herradura (near Jaco) in a 26' panga and we landed 5 roosters and had numerous other hits and runs on live baits and on topwaters.  It was a rush watching 3 or 4 roosters come hauling ass up to a top water and then drift back and nail a big "Lisa" (a 12"+ mullet). We fished about 5 hours, and came back in and traveled to a great restaurant on the water, and had fresh snapper shrimp and ceviche.  Afterwards we made a quick trip to a set of jetty rocks that I wished we would have had more time to fish.I'll be back.
The trip to Jaco can be made leaving early by van from San Jose and you can make it back the same day.
Ralph's main fishing area is Guanacaste, and that is where I plan on going with him next year.
Here are some pictures.  This is the third time trying to get roosterfish in the boat from different locations in CR, and other guided trips did not have the energy and excitement these guys had..
They also made every attempt to CPR every fish, our last big one we caught took over 30 minutes to revive after repeated attempts, and you can tell that they want to keep this resource/recreational income alive for another
day..LOL
